The Binding of Isaac - Unholy Edition - Announced by Merge Games for Release on March 16

Edition comes with DRM-free version, Steam gifting key, soundtrack and more.

What do you get when you combine the fun of adventure through basements, caves and dungeons while being hunted and hounded by mutants, cutting deals with the devil and searching for holy relics while your mother tries to sacrifice you to prove her faith? You get The Binding of Isaac, thats what!

Publisher Merge Games and developer Headup Games announced today the upcoming release of The Binding of Isaac - The Unholy Edition on March 16, 2012. This special edition will include a DRM-free version, a free Steam gifting key (a great 'sorry I forgot about Valentine's Day' gift!), the award-winning soundtrack, a poster and a 40-page "Devzine".

The storyline of The Binding of Isaac begins when Isaac's mother begins hearing hte voice of God demanding a sacrifice to prove her faith. Unfortunately, Isaac is to be the sacrifice, and he takes flight into the basement, where he will face monsters in dungeons, lost brothers and sisters, his own fears, and eventually the one woman that wants him dead: his mother. With a combination of RPG with randomly-generated dungeons, items and bosses, The Binding of Isaac will rely on players to find bizarre treasures that will give Isaach super-human abilities to survive.
